Crafts

Activity: For this activity we sprayed shaving cream on a sheet pan. Then we got to pick two colors of food coloring to make a marble in the shaving cream. We took a utensil and spread out the colors. After we were done spreading out the colors, we took a small piece of cardboard and scrape off the excess shaving cream to create a smooth surface on the paper.  Next, we traced 5 feathers on our marbled sheet of paper and wrote 5 things we were thankful for. Then, we took our feathers and stapled them to a toilet paper roll. Lastly, we drew a face and legs to make our turkey craft.

Extension Activity: We could use this for a language arts lesson. The students could write their vocab words on the feathers or any other shape. Then, they write the definitions on the back of the shapes.They would make a marbling with contrasting colors on the shapes as well.
